New 2018 Volvo V60 Wagon Redesign, Release Date
Not long ago, Volvo announced that they want to improve the new 2018 Volvo V60 with the safety upgrade. They stated that the improvements around the safety features would be completely applied to reach their target. They have a plan to build the car so that those who travel in Volvo would not get severe injury in any accident or crash in 2020. It means that the company will have a great concern for its safe, comfort and practicality. It will be one of station wagons which are quite popular in European market.
2018 Volvo V60 will be constructed on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, and it means that the new wagon has lighter bodyweight. This can be helpful to lower the gas mileage. They will also present the Cross Country version that is the traditional name for Volvo wagons with the off-road performance. It will be the strong rivals for Passat alltrack, Outback and A6 Allroad cars. It is a lifted station wagon. There is also Polestar version with high performance and speed-oriented model that has sports suspension, dark blue color body, performance brakes and 18-19-inch of big rims. The most significant change will be the styling because it will go with sleeker and less boxy look without losing its identity.
3D navigation will equip 2018 Volvo V60, lane guidance, 4G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, park assist, pre-collision, USB and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and those features are standard. Volvo also has big commitment to have a significant investment in the future. Current reports mentioned that they would build a new facility for the car based in North Carolina.

With the use of new platform, the new motors in 2018 Volvo V60 are capable of delivering even more than 39 MPG on the highway. Speaking about the motors, there are two options to offer. They will go with 2.5 liter and 3.0-liter gas engines to provide from 250 to 350 BHP with the use of all new eight-speed auto transmission. There is a big rumor that the company will also present the hybrid option by using a plug-in unit and it works for 400 BHP.
We found no official statement mentioned about the exact release date for 2018 Volvo V60, but there is a big speculation that it will hit the showrooms in the middle to the late of 2017. It depends on which model and which extras you want to add, the price is quite competitive. The base version is expected to be about $36,000, and the top model can be more than $60,000.
