2019 Porsche 911 Release Date, Changes and Price
Porsche will have their busy time of the year since the company began to test out the new 2019 Porsche 911 prototype. The company used the body of the current 991 to do the test and now we have some photos about a car with some new features which we predict is the Carrera S model.
When it is all about the changes, the main highlight is the rear end. It is the place where you can find wide spoiler as the vehicle with the taillight form following the rear spoiler. They don’t place the exhaust tips in the corners since they moved slightly more towards the center of the rear bumper. 2019 Porsche 911 is also completed with larger intakes. If you move your attention to the middle part, Porsche covered the surrounding edge of the rear quarter windows which can be the sign that they provide few changes there. The headlight units are also different from the previous model since they are located in different angle. In fact, it will be completed with wheel arch extension so that it is wider than the previous model. This fact is in line with the news about Porsche that is still working a new modular sports car platform. It gives more flexibility and better engine positioning as well as suspension hardware.
So far, we only know that the flat-bottomed steering wheel is the most likely option. Also, the leather will be probably standard upholstery. Of course, climate control is standard just like the newly infotainment system.
2019 Porsche 911 Engine
By using the new platform, there is a big indication that the new 2019 Porsche 911 can be installed with hybrid version. Others, the company considered to use twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter flat-six from the current 2017 911 sports. The engine is able to make 370 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque in Carrera but it can be about 420 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque in Carrera S. For other details like transmission, top speed and acceleration in the car probably will be similar to the current model but with little improvement.
We do hope that the new model will be launched in 2018, the first is as the base Carrera and the Carrera S Variant. Speaking about the price, we have no solid information to tell. It is only expected by many people that the cost shouldn’t be more than $92,000. It is because the current Carrera model is available about $90,000. But, we have no choice left instead of waiting the official confirmation so we can give you some valid updates about the new 2019 Porsche 911.
