Its tow rating is 3900kg which is more than the Grand Cherokee SRT that is about 3265kg. It is different from the previous model with the use of new grille, new front bumper, and a new bonnet with inlet scoop and heat extractors. The LED fog lamps are available with 10.2 cm of exhaust tips as well as redesigned rear fascia.
The suspension setup is stiffer with the active damper, 20-inch alloy wheels that can be upgraded, Pirelli P-Zero three-season tires. All four corners are completed with Brembo brakes along with six-piston calipers for the front and four-piston for the rear.
2018 Dodge Durango SRT will be featured with a speedometer that has about 180 mph as the top speed. The steering wheel has a flat-bottomed design with the hand-wrapped leather to complete the dashboard. The seating cover is from Nappa leather as well as suede upholstery. The second row of chairs is designed with heating and ventilation system. There are some optional offers such as Laguna leather upholstery and also carbon-fiber trim.
The installation of Hemi V8 engine and 6.4 liters under the bonnet is beneficial to support the engine execution of 2018 Dodge Durango SRT higher which is about 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. This engine is designed with eight-speed auto transmission. The V8 engine is used to complete the all four wheels. As a result, it is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with the quarter mile is about 12.9 seconds. This happens because the company upgraded the gearbox so it has an aggressive driving mode. Even the company claimed that it would be the most powerful SUV in its class.
Given that the car is ready for its official announcement, it is expected that the sales will be started in the fourth quarter of 2017. The price for the base is about $42,000 but you will need more than $7,000 extra to get the new 2018 Dodge Durango SRT higher model.
