2018 Audi Q5 Hybrid Specs, Release Date and Price
The debut of the redesigned 2018 Audi Q5 was started at 2016 Paris Motor Show. It is coming out to enter the SUV segment and it will be the ninth model year. The current model is still the best-selling car from Audi especially in US market. It shares many cues from the redesigned A4 sedan and Q7.
The new 2018 Audi Q5 has a six-sided grille with more defined look while the headlights go with the LED piping. The resolution Matrix LED headlights are presented with the tail combines from the Q7 and Q3, horizontal bumper reflectors as well as decorative silver framework. The alloy wheels are from 17 to 21 inches. For the width and the height, it will be as the predecessor but it will be an inch longer. Its size will be the same as the German rivals such as BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.
If you have seen the redesigned A4 or the Q7, you may nod that the 2018 Audi Q5 has a similar flat dashboard and stacked materials. It is because Audi uses the details from both cars to complete the new Q5. This combination supports the car to have big touchpad from the Q7 and tablet-like screen from the A4. It has 8.3-inch of the screen and there is also the simulated instrument panel swaps with the 12.3-inch display to minimize the gauges to show other menus or even the navigation map. You can slide and recline the three-position backseat. Some features are added such as heated steering wheel, massaging front seats, Bang & Olufsen premium audio, Android Auto, Andi tablet for backseat entertainment and Apple CarPlay. For the safety features, it will go with standard forward collision warning system with auto emergency braking. Mitigate collisions and adaptive cruise control will be added too.
2018 Audi Q5 Engine
For the US version, 2018 Audi Q5 has turbocharged gasoline 2.0-liter four-barrel to provide 252 hp and it will be mated to seven-speed dual clutch auto transmission. The performance will be supported by adaptive air suspension, variable-ratio steering, active rear differential, and more.
2018 Audi Q5 has not been released yet in the US but its debut should be started at the beginning of 2018. The current price is about $41,850 for the base. We do not expect that there will be a drastic change in the price. It should not be too far from the price of the previous model.
