New 2018 BMW X6 Facelift, Price and Release Date
There is a significant trend among buyers, to have a new coupe-inspired crossover car. Right now, the predecessor of 2018 BMW X6 is the best-selling model in its segment. It was released in 2014 with massive restyled, and it was the second generation they could provide. However, no much people know that the car was more than having massive facelift. Therefore, they will provide the new generation as a new vehicle in this short period. BMW has their innovation to keep their market position with their presence through X5 and X6. We also believe that it will closely follow the original. The profile and the back are still hard to differentiate from the previous model. What we expect is new wheels, new air vents on the sides, new tail lights and new color options.
2018 BMW X6 will be built on BMW’s all new modular CLAR architecture. It means that the car will be constructed from high-strength steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber so that it has more rigid chassis compared to the previous model. For the weight, they would not drop much. Some reliable sources report that they only cut about 200 pounds. The front part will be the primary focus to get redesign. It might have the similar face, but its new headlights design and bigger kidney grille make it fresh. The changes would not be too much.
Move on the cabin side where BMW will provide better materials as well as better driving positions. The use of new chassis is helpful to provide more space inside the cabin of 2018 BMW X6. The biggest change is the addition of luxury model with four individual seats and higher materials standard as well as more features unique for the rear passengers.
2018 BMW X6 Engine
2018 BMW X6 might be available with the same engine as the previous model. If so, the base version will retain the current 3.0-liter inline six petrol engine that is capable of pumping out more than 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque power. The fans are also expecting the X6 50i, and the X6 M removes the old 4.4 liter and V8 engine with the smaller 4.0 liter due to the new architecture to provide the same output. They will also carry over the 3.6-liter diesel with no changes.
2018 BMW X6 Release Date and Price
Likely, it will come out together with the all-new X5 at the end of 2017. 2018 BMW X6 does not have any radical changes, and the cost would not change much. We bet that the base model will be around $62,000 and the top model can be more than $80,000.
