2019 Subaru Outback Redesign
In 2018 or in 2019, it will be the time for Subaru Outback to get next full redesign and we assume that it can be the new 2019 Subaru Outback. Dating back to 2014, it was the last major update the company could present for the 2015 model with small improvement around the engine, new fresh look for its curvaceous silhouette and newest driver assistance technology.
2019 Subaru Outback Changes
2019 Subaru Outback is designed as a wagon, but its competitors will be some great crossovers such as Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. Probably the company will offer it with wider color options and light redesigns around the cosmetic details.
The selling point to make the new 2019 Subaru Outback is popular is about the safety features. Subaru will complete the cabin with some interesting features to keep you safe such as the Eyesight Driver Assistance Technology. The current generation added with adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning. They also provide the optional blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic. Subaru is predicted to support it with more technology especially in the term of the safety to make it more competitive than its rivals.
2019 Subaru Outback Engine
For the powertrain, nothing has been shared by the company officially. The current Outback comes with a choice between 2.5 liter four-barrel to provide the amount of output about 175 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque or the more powerful 3.6 liter six-barrel to make 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. This arrangement is quite good in the previous model and it is possible if the company will keep it but with the updated solution. It seems they wouldn’t touch the CVT transmission in new Outback because it supports the 2017 model year to reach more than 32 mpg on the highway with the four-barrel and 27 mpg with the six-barrel. Latest reports mentioned that Subaru will explore more new engines with the cylinder deactivation or named as lean-burn technology. No news at all about the advantages of using these technologies.
No official information has been made by the official regarding when it will be launched and how much the cost to get it. But, some reliable sources explained about their estimation. Since it will come out with more features inside and small improvements, it is expected to be available at least in the end of 2018 with the price that shouldn’t go too far from the previous model which is estimated to be about $28,000 as the new 2019 Subaru Outback.
