2019 Nissan Frontier New Platform and Powertrain Upgrade
We have been spending many years to see the new 2019 Nissan Frontier to expect. Nissan had their last work on the car in 2014 for the global market. On the other side of the world, they provided all-new mid-size pickup truck under the badge Navara. Sadly, the U.S. market was not the best place to start because the design of the truck was too similar to the newest Ford Ranger. Now, Nissan is ready to send their Frontier by fixing all troubles.
The 2004 model year was released by the company with several modifications and a minor facelift for the 2011 market. The current model is the second generation. Nissan has the new variation called NP300 Navara, but it doesn’t sell well since people tend to go with larger size and the more modern look. Some automotive expertise predicts 2019 Frontier that the company will not offer significant changes on the outer part of the car.
What you are going to see inside is several modifications which are more than what they are going to offer outside. The layout of the cabin comes with a car-like design that will remind you of the Sentra. New Nissan Frontier will retain the rugged design and brutish look on the dashboard. We hope the company will complete the design by adding bigger knobs, bigger buttons and four-spoke wheel. You will find more comfortable design in the Dual Cab model because it has larger legroom and the standard three-person bench seat. Some technology features are provided such as Blind-spot surveillance, automated shopping, lane separation warning, backup video camera and others. In short, the cabin of the vehicle will have a smooth change.
2019 Nissan Frontier Engine
Nissan Frontier 2019 is still hard to predict, especially when it comes to the engine design. It seems possible to keep the current four-cylinder unit and 2.5 liters but with improved output and torque power. Other possibilities are the use of 2.5 liters of four-cylinder Turbodiesel, V6 engine as the alternative with 4.0 liter of capacity and V8 engine with 5.6 liters as the last possible choice. The transmission can be seven-speed automatic and six-speed gearbox. It runs with four-wheel drive setup.
It looks like impossible to come quickly. 2019 Nissan Frontier is expected to enter the market at the end of 2018, or at the beginning of 2019. At this time, there is no official announcement has been made to clarify all rumors. We guess the price will be about $19,500 for the base and $28,000 for the higher trim level.
