2018 Renault Captur Review: Specs, Price, Release Date
Renault made a big success after having their previous Renault Captur. They showed their capability so that the vehicle was known as the most popular urban crossover in 2016 from European manufacturer. At that time, the company was able to sell about 215,670 units. What they did was offering a more distinctive styling and completing it with latest technologies. What people loved from the previous model was because it did not lose its user-friendliness. In their history, they have a comprehensive lineup of crossover starting from the Capture Initialed Paris, Kadjar, and Koleos. Now, they are ready to make the new 2018 Renault Captur for a big hit.
2018 Renault Captur will come out with a striking design with the help of two-tone color scheme and the three new body colors, which are Acatama Orange, Amethyste Black, and Ocean blue. They also offer a new Platine Grey as the option for the roof. Even they are able to make 30 possible combinations so that buyers can style their own vehicle. It seems that the company does not want to make a drastic change. The original success is adorable, and therefore no one wants to move too far from that look. The difference is that, the new model will get the Full LED technology to enhance its vision and safety. This technology also helps reduce glare. The bumper comes with C-shaped LED daytime running lights as its signature. At the rear, it has iconic lighting for the night and day.
Speaking of the radiator grille, Renault is going to modify it to make it a little bit similar to the Kadjar. However, they also add a chrome strip to make it different. The front and rear bumper come with new skid plates. Renault also provides four types of wheels, a fixed glass sunroof, and two-tone configuration.
Inside, the new 2018 Renault Captur has brighter cabin than before, thanks to the fixed glass roof. The cabin also has six interior customization options as well as five customization packs you can choose. The cabin is more refined than the predecessor had, with the use of high quality plastics, sleek chrome and the subdued hues to offer elegant look. Some parts of the cabin are built from the higher quality materials. The high-end version will get full-grain leather upholstery to offer more modern look, revised door panels, and the LED ceiling light. You can enjoy the latest features in this vehicle such as the premium bose quality sound, the R-Link Evolution, and the new ADAS.
There will be two diesel engines for 2018 Renault Captur. First, it is the dCi 90 that works with auto transmission or a manual transmission. Second, it has the dCi 110 with manual transmission. The engines work with Stop & Start technology to recover energy to make 110 hp and 260 Nm of torque. The next engine is two petrol; first, it is TCe 90 for manual and TCe 120 for both automatic or manual. The engines are able to make 205 Nm of torque.
Renault should introduce the new 2018 Renault Captur in the early of 2018 with the base price around £15,500. Meanwhile, the top model can be about £22,500.
